Ash Heatwole is a Partner and Financial Advisor with Graves Light Lenhart Wealth, having joined the firm in 2021. Ash holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Prior to joining GLLW, Ash worked at Shenkman Capital Management, a major investment firm specializing in the Fixed Income space. Ash has significant and direct experience managing portfolios both domestically and internationally, as his background included growing out Shenkman’s international presence in London as Vice President of investment research. Ash has frequently been featured as a speaker and panelist at major investment conferences in both New York and London. He started his career at UBS Investment Bank in New York, specifically within the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Ash graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech, Ash was actively involved in managing a portion of the school’s endowment through the SEED (Student-managed Endowment for Education Development) Program.

Ash is committed to the community, currently serving as a board member for the Rotary Club of Harrisonburg as well as the GERMAN Club Alumni Foundation in Blacksburg while also participating in various local mentorship programs. Ash and his wife, Amy, have two children and reside in the Shenandoah Valley. He and Amy are active members at Grace Covenant Church. In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling, reading, genealogy and tending to his family’s farm.
